General Description
As Director of Porting in Glu you will be working within the Glu Asia-Pacific Porting team located in Beijing. The primary responsibility of the Director of Porting is to manage a team of software engineers, ensuring on time and on quality production of device ports for mobile games.
·Manage a growing team of Software Engineers
·Maintain a device porting schedule and ensure on time delivery of SKUs
·Recruit and train new team members
·Report status to management team
·Manage communication between team-members and other teams
·Help in optimizing game builds for a wide variety of Java enabled devices
·Help develop tools/libraries to support porting and configuration activities
·Maintain and contribute to a knowledge database for Java mobile gaming devices
·Help fix bugs reported through internal system tools
·Work in close cooperation with the QA and Development teams
The ideal candidate meets the following criteria:
·4+ years of experience as technical team leader
·An organized worker with great attention to detail
·Strong knowledge of software development and project management processes
·Strong knowledge of mobile devices
·Knowledge of Java (J2ME) or C
·Experience working with project management tools
·Strong verbal and written communication
·Strong verbal and written English skills
·Good people skills
·Ability to work under pressure
